My profile
I am a Consultant Interventional Radiologist with dual Fellowships in both Vascular/Non-vascular Intervention and Interventional Oncology. I am currently the Section Head of Interventional Radiology at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, Pakistan. I am also designated as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University.
In addition to my interventional work, I also cover most areas of reporting pertaining to emergency and body imaging in particular and have had a wide exposure with experience of working in most other areas of general radiology.

I started work in the UK as a pre-registration house officer for one year, followed by three years of surgical training in Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. I then entered Specialist Registrar training in the Wessex deanery based at Southampton University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, UK.
SOLUTION FOCUSED CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST
I went on to do the prestigious Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship at University College Hospital London, UK. Thereafter, I completed a one-year Fellowship in vascular and non-vascular intervention at Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, UK.
I worked as a Consultant Radiologist – General and Interventional, for just over a year at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust, which is a district general hospital in the UK. I was also a member of the South Mersey Vascular Network (a collaborative effort between The Countess of Chester and Wirral University Teaching Hospital, whichtogether provide vascular services for the South Mersey region).
